Summer Children's Clothing: Lightweight, Comfortable, and Stylish for Warm Days

The sun is finally shining again, the beach is calling, and summer seems to have started early this year. It’s wonderful, of course, but with warm weather comes the same question every time: what should you dress your kids in so they can play comfortably without overheating?

Kids are always on the go. Running, playing, climbing, building sandcastles, or endlessly chasing a ball on the beach. That’s why they often get hot faster than you’d think. That’s exactly why, when designing our summer collection, we paid special attention to breathable fabrics, comfortable fits, and clothes that let kids move freely.

Why breathable fabrics are so important in the summer

When it's hot out, you want clothes that breathe. Fabrics that don't feel heavy, don't stick to the skin, and allow children to play comfortably all day long.

That is why we make extensive use of natural and lightweight materials in our collection, such as:

  • Mousseline
  • Linen
  • Cotton blends
  • Soft, breathable fabrics

These materials feel light against the skin and help regulate body temperature more effectively. This really makes a difference, especially on hot days at the beach or during vacations.

In addition, these fabrics instantly give off that classic summer vibe.

While designing this collection, we sometimes had our doubts. Maybe you can relate: aren’t we going a bit too summery for the Dutch weather?

We often found ourselves thinking:
“Haven’t we designed too many spaghetti-strap tops for the Dutch summer?”

But just look at the weather right now. The first warm days are already here, and to be honest, we’re really confident we’re in for a summer full of sunshine.

And let's be honest: as soon as the sun comes out, kids practically live outside.

Shop now for the cutest sets, dresses, skirts, and tops made from the lightest fabrics—and let’s get ready for summer!
